About the Role

Your objectives in this engineering intern role can be, depending on your interests and personal learning objectives: To build important components of our web platform in close collaboration with the rest of the engineering team and level up your software engineering skills in developing web applications. Alternatively, you can focus more on the data engineering and forecasting area of our product, where we leverage the data we collect to drive decisions of our customers and forecast potential future sustainability scenarios based on their actions today.

Since we are a fast growing company, your day-to-day work will range from solving current engineering challenges together with our experienced full-time engineers to tackling your own work packages depending on your skill level and experience. We are building a data-heavy SaaS application, so if you are more interested in working on making the most out of our customer’s data, you can work on the analytics and forecasting side of our application. Additionally, we are building up our automation suite to handle complex data ingestion and auto-label datasets coming from various data sources in our customer’s organization.

Our customers rely on us to make their sustainability data actionable. To this end, we see the outcome of your internship with us in coming up with and expanding our current data analytics capabilities to inform decision making in the organizations we support. Ideally, your project will be developed and deployed right into our production application at the project’s conclusion and will thus have immediate customer impact.

Nice-to-haves:
We are building our application in React/NextJs in Typescript, use Prisma for our ORM, tRPC for enabling typesafe APIs, and host everything on Microsoft Azure Cloud. While you don’t have to have any experience in those tools upfront, interest in them is definitely a plus. Additionally, experience in data analysis and visualization is nice to have.
