Executive Team

Jakevir Shoker

Jakevir Shoker

National Director

Jakevir is a 5th Year Intercalating Medical Student at the University of Leicester and has been at MTF since 2020. As ND, Jakevir guides the overall direction of the MedTech Foundation and its growth. Outside of MTF, Jakevir has been involved in various societies at University, as well as internships with Howz and Patients Know Best. He is an avid coder, and has created games around medical education. In his free time, he is an keen badminton player the Captain of the University’s Men’s 2nd Badminton team.

Rahul Senan

Rahul Senan

Finance Director

Rahul is a Final Year Medical Student at Hull-York Medical School, where he is also chair of the HYMS MTF spoke. As NFD, he handles the finances and sponsorships that enable MTF to bring you exciting events and opportunities. He has also represented MTF at a number of events. Outside of MTF, Rahul is a keen musician and is currently learning to play the guitar. He is also a big Formula 1 Racing fan!

Zain Ahmad

Zain Ahmad

Strategy Director

Zain is a 4th Year Medical Student at the University of Exeter and is new to MTF. As NSD, he looks after the Marketing subteam and their activities, as well as guides MTF’s strategy, including with external partners. Outside of MTF, Zain is very active and enjoys cycling, weightlifting and football. He is also an avid writer, having created work for personal blogs and as a content writer. Academically he has a keen interest in radiology and oncology

Viral Gudiwala

Operations Director

Viral is a Final Year Medical student at the University of Cambridge, and has worked with the MTF Cambridge as MedX officer. As NOD, Viral looks after the Operations team to deliver exciting events and opportunities throughout the year. Outside of MTF, Viral is involved in lots of societies at his University, including being Co-President of the T&O society. He is a competitive sportsman too, and enjoys playing cricket and Eton Fives.

Sulaymaan Al Majid

Programme Director

Sulaymaan is a Junior Doctor currently in the North with a seat at the UK JDC. At medical school, he worked as the President of the School of Medicine, and also took up a variety of leadership positions in a variety of different national organisations across the United Kingdom. Whilst exploring different fields of healthcare he hopes to meet keen and innovative individuals to not only sharpen MedTech Foundation's vision but expand their growth during his time as the National Program Director.

Adithi Randeni

Hackathon Director

Adithi is a 4th Year Medical Student at the University of Leeds. As the Hackathon Director this year, she is responsible for organising one of MTF’s most popular events. Adithi is involved in a wide range of activities outside of MTF, including having been President of Leeds’ Cutting Edge Surgical Society, the Leeds representative for NANSIG and Chair of the Model UN. She has a keen interest in research, as well as medical education through mentoring and peer teaching.

Iman Yahya

Network Coordinator

Iman is a 2nd Year Medical Student at Barts and the London. As Network Coordinator, she makes sure that local spokes are supported, providing them advice and help in how to run their events. Outside of this, she is a representative of Women in Academic Healthcare, as well as being an ARCTERA intern. In her downtime, she enjoys drawing, kickboxing and keeping good company.

Adeel Mushtaq

Innovation Programme Director

Adeel is a Foundation Year 1 Doctor. As NIPD works alongside the Network Coordinator to support spokes, especially in their delivery of MTF’s flagship Innovation Programme. Outside of MTF, Adeel is a cricket enthusiast and amateur photographer, as well as a keen traveller. He is interested in Data Science and its role in the healthcare space.

Hussain Hilali

Graphics Director

Hussain is a 4th Year Medical Student at the University of Leeds and is new to MTF. As Graphics Director, Hussain is a part of the Marketing Team and helps shape the aesthetics of all our content. He is a keen artist overall, being involved in freelance Graphic Design. He also runs a small business helping prospective medical students with the BMAT examinations, as well as being an online tutor.

Mariya Khan

Content Writer

Mariya is a Mechanical Engineering student at Aston University. As Content Writer, she helps deliver interesting articles on subjects in the MedTech space, including inspiring interviews from leading professionals. In her spare time, Mariya works as a Research Assistant in Material Characterisation at her University. She is an avid reader, as well as a Formula one fan with a keenness to work in motorsport engineering

Dr William Bolton

NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow

Dr Bolton is a co-founder of the MedTech Foundation, which he first set up in Leeds in 2015. He currently works as an NIHR Academic Clinical Fellow in Neurosurgery at the Leeds Centre for Neurosciences, with an interest in developing novel surgical technology and its applications to Global Surgery.

Dr Neffendorf is a Consultant Ophthalmologist and Vitreoretinal Surgeon at the King's College Hospital Foundation Trust, as well as an Honorary Research Fellow at King's College London.

Clive Flashman

Flashfuture Consulting

Clive Flashman is the Managing Director for Flashfuture Consulting. He is also the Strategy Director for ORCHA Health, Digital Innovation Adviser for NHS South, Central and West Commissioning Support Unit, and Chief Digital Officer for Patient Safety Learning.
